We read every message and normally reply within two business days. Writing in English or Chinese is equally fine.
Add a school from the Schools tab, then fill in the round, deadline and status. Everything else — tasks, essays, scores, recommenders, activities, honors, expenses and visa steps — hangs off that record. The Home tab shows what is due soonest, and the Progress tab shows how far along each application is.
There is no account to create and nothing to subscribe to. The app is free and has no in-app purchases or ads.
AI entry is optional. It does not ship with a provider, and we do not supply an API key — the app is free and we run no inference service. To use it, open Settings → AI and fill in three things:
chat/completions API (DeepSeek, Zhipu GLM and many others work).Until all three are filled in, the feature stays unavailable and tells you so. Once configured, pasted text goes over HTTPS from your device straight to the provider you chose — it does not pass through any server of ours, and we never receive your text or your key. The key is stored in your device's Keychain.
Every field the AI would fill can also be typed in by hand, so nothing in the app depends on setting this up.
When your device is signed in to an Apple Account, your records sync through your own iCloud private database, so the same list appears on your other devices. This is your data moving between your own devices; we operate no server in that path and cannot read it.
Attachment files do not sync. A PDF or image you attach stays on the device that added it — only the record of it travels. If you switch devices, re-add the files there.
To stop syncing, turn CompassHub off under iCloud in the iOS Settings app. With sync off, or when signed out, everything stays on the device.
From Settings you can export everything as a JSON file, export your school list as a CSV that opens in Numbers or any spreadsheet app, and back up to or restore from your own iCloud Drive. "Clear all data" removes your records from the device, along with the reminders and calendar events the app created.
Deleting the app removes its local data. Records already synced to your iCloud account are governed by your Apple Account; we cannot delete them on your behalf.
The full policy is at compasshub.cc/privacy, and it is also linked from inside the app. In short: no account, no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no telemetry sent to us from the iOS app.

AI 智能录入是可选功能。应用不内置任何服务商，我们也不提供 API Key——这是一款免费软件，我们不运营推理服务。使用前请在「设置 → AI 设置」填写三项：

AI 能填的字段都可以手动录入，不配置也不影响使用其他功能。
设备登录 Apple 账户后，你的记录会通过你自己的 iCloud 私有数据库同步，其他设备上会看到同一份数据。数据只在你自己的设备之间流转，我们在这条路径上没有服务器，也无法读取。
附件文件不参与同步。你添加的 PDF 或图片只留在添加它的那台设备上，同步的只是这条附件记录。换设备后需要重新添加文件。
如需停止同步，请在系统「设置 → iCloud」中关闭 CompassHub。关闭或未登录时，数据只保存在本机。
在设置中可以把全部数据导出为 JSON，把申请清单导出为 CSV（可用表格类应用打开），也可以备份到你自己的 iCloud Drive 或从中恢复。「清除所有数据」会删除本机记录，并一并清理应用创建的提醒与日历事件。
删除应用会移除本机数据。已同步到你 iCloud 账户中的记录归属于你的 Apple 账户，我们无法代为删除。
